Adventure Story: The Legend of the Little Ring - The Continuation of article "The Lord of Little Rings." Here is the story, inspired from the movie that we changed the location to be in Switzerland.
Welcome to the lakeside towns and Lauerzersee (lake):
On the island, once stood a castle called “Schwanau” or a Swan castle. The ruined castle and chapel is now a restaurant :
This lake and towns around the lake was called "The Land of Ore" :
The town at the left is called "Seewen", the opposite side of the lake is "Lauerz" and the shoreline of the small village on the hill is called "Steinen" (foreground).
A closer view from this spot is the place where you can see the ruined castle on the island:
From the peak of the Little Lord that can be seen from a camp site in Seewen:
A calm and peaceful view of the Lauerzersee - The Ore Lake:
The adventure path to stroll along the lake at night:

Are you the one who is destined to find this treasure island? Join the path on our adventure program. The rings could be yours!
Info facts:
- The lake is called "Lauerzersee", Lau - lukewarm, mild, and Erz - ore in the mud
- The village "Seewen" is at the lakeshore on the opposite side of Lauerz town.
- "The Swan Castle" was built around 1200 -1250 by the royal folk Kyburg - Schwanau.
- The significant mountains are called "Kleiner Mythen and Grosser Mythen", the name is unrelated to the German word for "myth", it may be derived from the latin word "meta" which means cone, pyramid or boundary, turning point.
How to get there:
Head for "Arth-Goldau" (there are direct connections from Zurich or Lucerne). There take the Bus No. 1 final destination "Schwyz, Post" and leave at "Lauerz, Dorf" (5 stops) to visit Lauerz itself or stay on the Bus a bit longer (three more stops) and leave at "Lauerz, Schwanau". If you want to visit the island itself, there is a ferry running between the shore and the island from near the bus stop. Important: the ferry operates only when the restaurant on the island is open. It's operated private, so any public transport day pass you may have will not apply and they only accept cash (CHF 5 for a return trip).
