During Christmas parents spend time with their children to build and decorate a fairy tale house with cookies and candies. That house is based on Hansel and Gretel, a fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm and belongs to the witch living in the deep forest:

When it is cloudy, the atmosphere makes the town look creepy and mysterious. The name of city means "Three mouths of Cerberus". It is a dog guardian of Hades in the Italian Alps as you can find the image in the coat of arms of this city when you visit there.

According to the history, a noble woman was claimed to be a witch and was captured in a cell.

It was the last witch trials in Italy, many children and women were tortured and died. The process was from 1587 to 1589.

There are many other sacred places in this area.

One of them is the poorest area where the gatherings and other mysterious activities would take place at night. Another witch gathering would take place in a remote area on the holy day of rest, "Sabbath" somewhere in the deep forest surrounded with lavenders and walnut and hazelnut trees.

There is a "Home of Meggia" that the noble woman, "Isotta Stella", who was claimed to be a witch and died there. It became a tourist attraction.

This small medieval village still looks llike as it was, therefore modern supermarkets are located outside of the town.
